The silly Americans at www.whatreallyhappened.com, smokingmirrors.blogspot.com, Antiwar.com and other sites keep on moaning how horrible Bush is, what horrible deeds he has done, and how they want an end to what USA is doing in Iraq and around the world. So let's make sure I uderstand you guys right. You want to give up all that nice 'ool in Iraq? You want to give up all that 'ool in Iran? You want to stop the USA's Military industrial complex? So what you actually want you is an end to the American Empire? Fine, then you have to give up ALL the nice perks and benefits you are indirectly and directly enjoying right now because of USA's imperealistic behavior: dollar supremacy, the ability to print as much dollars as neded, much cheater gas prices than the rest of the world(compare USA's versus Europe gas prices) cheap nice food and prices of consumer goods, etc etc, etc. Do you actually realize what that means? It means you will have to live within your means like the rest of the world does, meaning you have to give up that sweet, sweet middle class lifestyle. Are you ready for that? Are you? Better think before you answer. Think hard. Do you realize Bush is actively working to preserve your nice lifestyle, a lifestyle some people would kill to have? You should be supporting him, you morons, NOT opposing him. Now go and get a brain you morons.

Wanna discuss this further, I'm at petkov00@gmail.com

Slight hole in your argument. I live in Auckland, the biggest city in anti war, anti nuke New Zealand. The city has the 5th highest standard of living in the world and the 7th highest purchasing power parity in the world. i.e. I live a far more comfortable life than the average person in the US. Without the war and empire. Oh dear.

War only benefits the investor class. And any nation controlled by the middle class, such as NZ, won't go to war unless it's just.

Not only are you ignorant of world politics, you are ignorant of basic economics as well. Bush's big government spending is devaluing the U.S. dollar by creating more federal debt. That amounts to an illegal regressive tax on our so-called 'middle class' lifestyles, you socialist pinhead. Only a Trotskyite, world domination whack job wants to see the per capita worth of his countrymen deteriorate so his little Stalin in the White House can get his war on. You sir, are a blackguard and a traitor. Go to hell before you drag this country down with you.

I could see how this would be an easy conclusion to reach, and it is close to the truth, but just a bit wrong. Bush and crew are working hard to preserve the economic, political, and military dominance of the American factions of the global elite, not the dwindling middle class.

They don't care who they screw in the process, be it an American working or middle class chump, the Iraqis, the Iranians, or the Poles who will soon have to live with Russian nukes pointed at them because of our dumb missile shield.

Incidentally our gasoline is relatively cheaper because it isn't taxed as heavily as it is in Europe. It isn't taxed as heavily because that would be politically untenable. The driving public would never accept high gas taxes. The car companies would never accept them either because it would have reduced the market for their high margin SUVs.

The reason we fear and loath the Bush cabal is deeper than their insane foreign policies. Domestically they have shredded our rights, devastated our economy, allowed our infrastructure to rot, and starved our social programs, all in the service of profit for their friends in the defense and energy industries.

I am quite happy giving all this up - in fact, I already have given most of it up. I'd rather see my grandchildren have a life than none at all, thank-you-very-much. You seem to be perfectly willing to sacrifice your grand-children and subsequent generation on the altar of your wasteful and profligate lifestyle. Shameful.

"Now go and get a brain you morons." You're a poet.

The problem with your argument is that you are both right and wrong at the same time. Bush IS IN FACT working towards preserving a certain consumer driven way of life. BUT at the expense of all those things you touted. The dollar is weak and possibly on the verge of collapse (the Euro appeared and doubled in value since it appeared and the canadian Dollar is now worth more than ours.) The cheap gas and food you talk about has gone up dramatically, with gas TRIPLING IN PRICE since Bush took office.) And printing as many dollars as we need? isn't that what got us into the housing freefall we're in now?

So you are right. Bush is WORKING to preserve our way of life. And he is failing on all counts. Reagan is spinning in his grave right now...genius.

You are on drugs and are very out of touch with what is going on...It actually doesn't take much thinking at all... that mentioned crap you brought above as all changed in the last 5 year at a rapid pace ever since your beloved Bushie took office - What fricking planet do you live on dude. Not to mention that you give no backup for your comments. Again,... you are a moron... But that doen't surprise mebeing that you love Bush so much... Cheers, Spiffydude

I am out of a job, watching my neighbors move out of their home which was foreclosed on. Twice a week I take food to homeless people living in the desert. The only people that have profited from this criminalized government, directed by and for Israeli interests, are other criminals.
You must either be one of them or a sadly degenerate moron.

like, honestly (Iraq and Afganistan were invaded on base of false-flag op. 911 and falsified intel data), with democratic rule (with honest elections), peacefully (Christians mutilating the world nations once again, huh...), treating your fellow countrymen right (not killing with tasers), etc. etc. etc.

Yeah, are you ready for that?

Dollar supremacy? Get your head out of 1959's ass and play some historical catch-up. FYI, even the loonie is kicking our ass these days and our dollar's been pretty well worthless since Nixon and the Fed stopped backing it with gold in 1971. The ability to print unlimited dollars only accelerated the depreciation, along with our foreign policy alienating the rest of the world. Do YOU actually realize what that means? It means your lifestyle is evaporating beneath your feet while you cheer on the scum doing the excavation. And if you think the middle class even exists anymore, you're probably stupid enough to try buying petroleum jelly with an Exxon card. Now, go back to watching Fox news and waving flags for McCain, you sheep.

Actually, I stopped living a consumerist middle class lifestyle years ago--ten years ago we were living on less than $10,000 a year with two kids...sorta destitute, eh? But hey, we muddled through anyway. Our income is better now but we still have not re-adopted that consumerist lifestyle. Most furniture is recycled, we grow much of our own food, haul water to the garden, haul dirt to fix driveway... well, anyway, I love NOT living the "middle class" consumerist lifestyle, and is TSHTF we are prepared. Sounds to me, "cutting through the bullshit", that you would rather be a fat and lazy consumerist in front of the TV all day than try to find the truth. Pro-war or anti-war, your consumerism is what is BS!

My Dear Petkov:

Through clever and constant application of propaganda, people can be made to see paradise as hell, and also the other way round, to consider the most wretched sort of life as paradise. ~Adolf Hitler

The quote above, kindly provided by you, applies perfectly to your delusional ranting. I even suspect you know it. If not, I suggest you see an optometrist - or a good psychoanalyst.

Oh really. I guess I have that despicable Bush to thank for my 'great' life. Well I'm biting the hand that feeds me, bud.

Don't tell me what to support or believe. I've got every right to hate Bush and people like you...

What the current empire is trying to preserve is the same thing every war-starting empire in history tried to preserve. Its collapsing money system, through which the ruling gang plundered the people in a central bank's disguise. You don't see THIS mentioned in the media or in war crime trials. Perhaps because the banks still influence both?

This reminds me of Jonathan Swift's "A modest Proposal" satire in which he offered to have people become cannibals to help the poor.

This guy argues FOR everything in America that is morally wrong, wasteful and is in dire need of fixing.

I think he's joking. No one could be that stupid and be serious.

I'd like to at least think that there really aren't complete idiots out there that back Bush to this level of cretinism.

I would suggest you evolve out of your reptilian brain dominance and start thinging like a human being. You have heard of caring and sharing I take it, even some lesser mammals know how to share.
Less evolved than a snake is not a trait that I would be bragging about.

Petkov are you slow or were you dropped on your head? Wars cost huge amounts of money both in what is spent and the cost of sending otherwise productive members of society of to die. Just think of all the infrastructure and investment that could have created more jobs and a higher living standard that had to be forfeited in order to pay for a war on an enemy that wasn't even a threat.

What Bush has being very successful at doing during his 8 years in office is eliminating the middle class. By doing this and leaving only the wealthy and and the poor, by doing this he has influenced economic down turn. This will also effect the wealthier indiviuals that make their money manufacturing and selling non-necessity items because the poor will only be able to purchase the item essential to their way of life. If we continue down the Bush path, the only companies that will be left in the end will be in the food and energy sector, which just happen to, more often than not, be owned by the same mega corperations.
